Street renaming
Four streets in Étival were renamed in honour of Guillaume Apollinaire, Marcel Duchamp and Francis Picabia. Jean Challié was away during that weekend in 1912, but in recognition of the fact that he spent most of his life painting in Étival, the road in front of his house was renamed 'Route Jean Challié'.
- Route Francis Picabia → Route de Clairvaux
- Rue Marcel Duchamp → Route de la fontaine
- Route Jean Challié → Route de Prénovel
- Rue Guillaume Apollinaire → Rue des Écoles
The local brass band assisted at each street re-naming ceremony.
